Our Path Forward

July 8th, 2020

Around the world, businesses are addressing the challenges presented by the pandemic to reopen and establish new ways of conducting commerce and getting work done. Along with the broader communities that we serve, we all find ourselves in a critical time where our actions and behaviors will impact the trajectory of the health and economic challenges that we face.

At CSC, our teams have maintained our ability to provide essential Laundry & Air products, services, and technology to help millions of people stay healthy and safe. We’ve been successful in doing this by adapting our work procedures to protect our customers, communities, team members, and their families.

As communities reopen, we want to provide a couple of updates to our efforts. First, the protocols below are part of “our path forward,” which includes further steps to address state and local guidance in our efforts to protect personal and public health:

Daily Wellness Checks and Contact Tracing for Our Employees

Every CSC team member starts each day by performing a wellness assessment through our app and ends each day by recording daily contacts in order to conduct contact tracing.

Extended Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

CSC team members utilize appropriate PPE as designated by their specific role. Collectors, Counters and In-Home Installers all wear N95 masks and all team members and visitors are required to wear face masks while at any CSC office, client location or public space.

Continued Social Distancing at All CSC Properties and Client Locations

In addition to our service technicians social distancing while at client properties, all gathering areas in CSC offices have been limited and protocols are in place to maintain social distancing in all operations.

Extended Handwashing by Employees and Visitors When Entering and Leaving All CSC Properties and Client Locations

All CSC locations perform regular cleaning and disinfecting and require both employees and visitors to sanitize hands before entering or leaving.

In addition to these protocols, we are working with thousands of clients to make key features available to more consumers. These digital capabilities can eliminate the need for coin, cash, or card handling; and allow remote availability checks, machine starts, cycle alerts, and service requests from a smartphone or tablet.

These features that have been centered on convenience also help address challenges in common areas like laundry rooms by advancing general social distancing efforts.

As a company, we want all CSC client communities and residents to know that we put safety first, and we will continue to make decisions and business changes that provide service in a safe way for us all.
