CSC ServiceWorks, Inc. (“CSC ServiceWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) has prepared this Privacy Policy to explain what Personal Information (defined below) we collect, how we use and disclose that information, and your choices about the information we collect through any websites (collectively the “Site”) or mobile applications (collectively the “App”) to which this Privacy Policy is posted, as well as our CSC digital machines (such services, as well as the Site and the App, are referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Information (defined below) we collect, how we use and disclose that information, and your choices concerning our information practices.

Before using the Service or submitting any Personal Information to CSC ServiceWorks, please review this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

To help you understand our privacy practices, we are providing the following brief overview covering what we believe are the key points:

  • What personal information do we collect? We collect the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers; customer records; geolocation data; commercial information; inferences used to create a profile of you; internet or other electronic network activity information; audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information.
  • How do we use your information? We use your Personal Information to communicate with you, provide and improve our Services, comply with our legal obligations, and prevent fraud or other unauthorized activity.
  • Do we sell or share your information? No. We do not sell your Personal Information or use it for targeted advertising based on your activity across different websites (a practice known as “sharing” in California).
  • How long do we keep your information? We keep Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, while we have a business need to do so, or as required by law (e.g. for tax, legal, accounting, or other purposes), whichever is longer.

1. Personal Information We Collect

We collect information that alone or in combination with other information in our possession could be used to identify you (“Personal Information”). In the last 12 months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers; customer records; geolocation data; commercial information; inferences used to create a profile of you; internet or other electronic network activity information; audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information. Below you will find more details on what Personal Information we collect and how we do so:

Personal Information You Provide: We collect the following categories of Personal Information from you when you sign up for and/or use the Services or communicate with us:

  • Identification Information: We collect your name, email address, alias, account name, and phone number.
  • Financial Information: We collect your credit card information if you provide that information to one of our call center representatives. Additionally, if you pay for any elements of the Service using a payment card, our payment processor(s) will collect the financial information necessary to process your payments, such as your payment card number and authentication details. Please note, however, that we store only a tokenized version of such information and do not maintain payment card information on our servers.
  • Audio Information: With your consent, we record support calls for training purposes.
  • Communication Information: We may collect information when you contact us with questions or concerns and when you voluntarily respond to questionnaires, surveys or requests for market research seeking your opinion and feedback. Providing communication information is optional to you.
  • Commercial Information: We may retain records of your commercial activity in the Service.
  • Education Information: We may collect student identification information.
  • Social Media Information: We have pages on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we will collect Personal Information that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details. In addition, the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.

Personal Information from Your DevicesWhen you visit, use, and interact with the Service online, we may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to collect certain information about your visit, use, or interactions. For example, we may monitor the number of people that visit the Service, peak hours of visits, which page(s) are visited, the domains our visitors come from, and which browsers people use to access the Service, general geographical information, and navigation pattern—all of which may be linked to your IP address or other identifying details. We do not sell that information or use it for targeted advertising, and so our Site currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

Personal Information Collected from Third Parties: We may collect Personal Information about you from third parties, such as advertising and marketing partners, lead generation services, and property managers.

Personal Information We Inferred: We may infer your preferences for certain products or services based on the Personal Information we collect about you. We may also use Personal Information to infer other Personal Information about you, including your income, the advertising ID of your mobile device, and the location of your home, work, and school.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • Create, maintain, customize, and secure your account for the purposes of using our Services;
  • Provide, support, operate, optimize, improve, maintain, and otherwise develop our Services. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. to help us understand how users use the Site and enhance your experience when you use the Site.   • Personalize your experience with our Services and to deliver content and offerings relevant to your interests, including targeted offers and ads through our Site and via email or text message;
  • Process your requests, purchases, transactions, and payments, and send related information such as transaction confirmations and invoices;
  • Manage consumers’ use of our Services and respond to inquiries and comments;
  • Send technical alerts, updates, security notifications, and administrative communications regarding our Services;
  • Investigate and prevent fraudulent activities, unauthorized access to our Services, and other illegal activities;
  • Fulfill any other purposes about which we notify you in advance regarding our Services;
  • Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our Services, databases, other technology assets, and business;
  • Conduct testing, research, analysis, and product development, including to develop and improve our current and potential Services;
  • Respond to court orders, legal demands, and government or law enforcement requests;
  • Recognize CSC digital machine users, including linking their information with other records we maintain or tracking activities across visits to the laundry room;
  • Diagnose problems with our server, report aggregate information, determine the fastest route for your device to use in connecting to our Services, and administer and improve the Services;
  • Understand and improve the user experience for our Services; and
  • Aggregate Personal Information.

3. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information. In certain circumstances we may disclose the categories of Personal Information described above without further notice to you, unless required by the law, with the following categories of third parties:

  • Vendors and Service Providers: To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may disclose all the categories of Personal Information we collect to vendors and service providers, including providers of hosting services, cloud services, and other information technology services providers, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, payment processors, customer relationship management and customer support services, and analytics services. Pursuant to our instructions, these parties will access, process, or store Personal Information in the course of performing their duties to us. We take commercially reasonable steps to ensure our service providers adhere to the security standards we apply to your Personal Information.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of service to another provider (collectively a “Transaction”), your Personal Information and other information may be disclosed in the diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the Transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that Transaction along with other assets.
  • Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or we have the good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service, or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.
  • Affiliates: We may disclose Personal Information to our affiliates, meaning an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with CSC ServiceWorks. Our affiliates may use the Personal Information we disclose in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

4. Privacy Rights Disclosures

You may have the following privacy rights:

  • Know. Request that we provide you details about the Personal Information we collect about you. This includes, for example, the categories of sources from which we collect Personal Information and categories of third parties to whom we disclose that information. You can also request that we provide the specific pieces of Personal Information that we collected about you.
  • Correction. Request that CSC ServiceWorks correct any Personal Information that you believe is incorrect at any time.
  • Deletion. Request that CSC ServiceWorks delete your Personal Information at any time. You can also delete your account using our App by (1) opening the App and going to Account Settings; (2) selecting “Delete My Account”; and (3) confirming your request when prompted.
  • Opt Out of Sales. Direct CSC ServiceWorks to not sell your Personal Information. But we do not currently sell your Personal Information.
  • Opt Out of Sharing or Targeted Advertising. Direct CSC ServiceWorks not to share your Personal Information or use it for targeted advertising based on activity across different websites. “Sharing” is commonly known as disclosing Personal Information for certain forms of online targeted advertising based on your activity across different websites. But we do not currently share your Personal Information or use it for targeted advertising within the meaning of applicable law.

We will not discriminate against you if you exercise these rights. You may exercise your rights by filling out our online request here (at https://www.cscsw.com/ccpa-requests/), emailing us at [email protected], or calling 833-900-0545. And, if you registered or signed in using a social media or other third-party login service, you may also remove our app’s access to your account through that service’s account settings.  

After we receive your request, we may request additional information from you sufficient to verify your identity. When required by law, we will honor requests from your authorized agent. That agent may submit requests in the same manner, although we may require the agent to present signed written permission to act on your behalf, and you may also be required to independently verify your identity with us and confirm that you have provided the agent permission to submit the request.

Please understand there are some circumstances, such as when the information is needed to complete a pending transaction or comply with a legal obligation, where we may not be able to fulfil your request.

We will inform you of our decision on your request and, when required by law, we will give you instructions for appealing a decision where we were unable to fulfill all or part of your request.

5. Children

Our Service is not directed to children who are under the age of 16. CSC ServiceWorks does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 16. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 16 has provided Personal Information to CSC ServiceWorks through the Service please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

6. Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by CSC ServiceWorks, including social media services (“Third Party Sites”). The information that you provide to Third Party Sites will be governed by the specific privacy policies and terms of service of the Third Party Sites and not by this Privacy Policy. By providing these links we do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed these sites. Please contact the Third Party Sites directly for information on their privacy practices and policies.

7. Security

You use the Service at your own risk. We maintain commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Information both online and offline from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

8. International Users

By using our Service, you understand and acknowledge that your Personal Information will be transferred from your location to our facilities and servers in the United States.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Service and our business may change from time to time. As a result we may change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post an updated version on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. As required by applicable law, we may also provide additional notice of the changes. By continuing to use our Service or providing us with Personal Information after we have posted an updated Privacy Policy, or notified you by other means if applicable, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy and practices described in it.
