Chief Executive OfficerView Profile
Mark Hjelle is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for CSC ServiceWorks and its subsidiaries. Hjelle joined CSC in July 2016 bringing 20 years of deep strategic and operational experience at every level in the services industry.
Prior to joining CSC ServiceWorks, Hjelle served as President of Brickman/ValleyCrest (rebranded BrightView), a $2 billion annual revenue business, where he led more than 20,000 team members with 250 branch offices, delivering landscaping and snow services to clients across multiple industries including multi-family, education, hospitality, retail, and commercial. Over the course of his long career, Hjelle held numerous leadership positions in the areas of operations, finance, and business development.
Hjelle serves on the board of directors of Valet Living, a national provider of amenity services to the multi¬family housing industry. Furthermore, Hjelle is a member of the U.S. Capital Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a global platform for chief executives.
Hjelle earned a bachelor of science degree in Economics from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a law degree from the Case Western Reserve School of Law, where he graduated with honors.

With over 25 years of HR leadership experience, Eric Robinson serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for CSC ServiceWorks, where he is responsible for HR, communications, legal, and transformation of the business through the Project Management Office (PMO). His extensive HR and business experience provides strategic value in the areas of talent management, organizational development and effectiveness, and business strategy. Robinson and his teams provide leadership to a workforce of over 3,000 team members globally.
Before joining CSC ServiceWorks in 2016, Robinson was Chief Human Resources Officer for BrightView Landscapes, a $2 billion company with over 20,000 team members. Robinson has significant experience leading HR across multiple industries, having lead teams at numerous Fortune 500 companies over his career including Pulte Homes, Clorox, BF Goodrich, and Eaton Corporation. He has lead several organizational transformations while delivering strategic solutions to the business.
Robinson holds a bachelor’s in business administration degree in Human Resources Management from Ohio University. He attended the Advanced Senior HR Executive Program at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Chief Operating OfficerView Profile
As Chief Operating Officer, Phil Emma leads the company’s operations organization, which includes all branch management as well as our certified technicians and collections professionals. Emma joined CSC ServiceWorks in in 2014 as part of the Mac-Gray acquisition where he played a major role in the sale and integration as a member of Mac-Gray’s leadership team.
Emma has over 25 years of broad general management, sales, and marketing leadership experience within the services industry and with leading consumer product organizations like Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. Across these experiences, Emma has successfully led change that has refocused service organizations toward a more customer-centric and differentiated approach.
Emma earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is a board member for ABC/A Better Chance, a school for underprivileged students, and previously served as a member of the Whirlpool Advisory Council, board member for Boston College Carroll School of Management, and Executive Director of the Soft Drink Association. He is a 10-time Boston Marathon participant.
Chief Commercial OfficerView Profile
As Chief Commercial Officer, Tony Sculthorpe leads all global Sales and Account Management teams as well as the development and execution of strategies that accelerate the retention and growth of CSC client partners.
Sculthorpe has over 25 years of experience within the industry and broad expertise as a sales leader, trainer, and business coach. He joined CSC ServiceWorks (then Coinmach) in 1998 and has had several leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He continues to provide leadership outside CSC as well, supporting apartment associations nationally and locally. Sculthorpe has been actively involved with the National Apartment Association (NAA) and, in 2012, was awarded the Paragon Award by the National Apartment Association for his efforts to advance the national apartment industry.
Sculthorpe holds a master’s degree in business administration from Aspen University and is a Certified Apartment Supplier. He is a graduate of NAAEI Leadership Lyceum and trainer for NAA’s Supplier Success Program.
Chief Financial OfficerView Profile
Jay Epstein serves as the Chief Financial Officer of CSC ServiceWorks, leading financial strategy, accounting, treasury, information technology, and corporate financial reporting. Epstein also leads our international businesses in Canada and Europe.
Epstein has over 20 years of operational, financial, and accounting experience across multiple industries with a successful track record in both publicly traded and private equity-backed organizations. Prior to joining CSC ServiceWorks in 2015, Epstein was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NewPage Corporation, a $3 billion paper, pulp, and packaging manufacturer. While at NewPage, Epstein increased performance while leading restructuring efforts. He led NewPage through an equity registration with the SEC in 2013 and the successful sale of the company. Earlier in his career, he served as senior financial officer for Brant Industries and its portfolio of companies including White Birch Paper, SP Newsprint, and SP Recycling Company.
Epstein earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and his master’s degree in business administration with concentrations in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.
Chief Digital OfficerView Profile
Brad Paine serves as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) leading a newly formed digital business unit. He is responsible for the advancement of digital strategies for the company including the direct oversight of our Connected Machines initiatives. Brad has a wealth of experience in developing and deploying connected services and products for many industries.
Before joining CSC ServiceWorks in 2019, Paine served as Vice President and General Manager for Connected Homes and Cities at Eaton Cooper Lighting. He was responsible for leading the connected transformation of their residential and outdoor lighting businesses, launching more than 100 new products, including the innovative Halo Home™ smart lighting system. Brad also developed an IoT alliance program for smart cities to bring IoT solutions to cities via the outdoor lighting network. Before Eaton, Brad spent 11 years at Honeywell in progressive roles, ultimately leading the evolution from traditional to connected thermostats.
Brad earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Brad holds 12 U.S. patents.
