PB&J Family Services

PB&J Family Services began as a volunteer effort reaching out to seven children who all had mothers with mental illness. Today the organizations has grown into a nationally recognized non-profit providing intensive wraparound services to more than 1,500 children and parents in the greater Albuquerque area annually.

At the heart of PB&J Family services’ is a mission to help at-risk children grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within a supportive community. Fulfilling this purpose means the PB&J team’s support work touches a range of communities ranging from the pueblos, prisons, jails, and elementary/middle/high schools in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties. When CSC ServicesWorks operations manager John Beck and his local Albuquerque team met with the PB&J team their passion for supporting local New Mexico community members was palpable.

“This is such a wonderful thing and our whole team at PB&J is very grateful to everyone that helped make it happen. It was seriously needed!” – Tashi Swierkosz, Development & Communications Manager

This mighty organization offers a variety of services while using laundry equipment that their team described as “prehistoric”, making it challenging to effectively keep up with services amidst breakdowns and small washing load sizes. The organization’s philosophy focuses efforts on families as a unit, while also offering individualized services based on the rapidly changing needs within the local society. Community members who are in need find solace and essential support in PB&J’s services such as therapy and childcare. The PB&J team always puts their community members first and the CSC Albuquerque team is humbled to have provided reliable laundry equipment that will help strengthen their operations.
